Scope

On July 21, 2026 a localized washout of Poverty Hollow Road occurred during a heavy rainfall event, resulting in a section of the edge/underside of the roadway washing down a vertical slope. The washout Hill and Goodridge Roads. At the bridge, the Aspetuck River crosses beneath the road and drops into a gorge.
